CHEROKEE COUNTY, Georgia — Lindsie Chrisley, former star of the reality television series Chrisley Knows Best, was arrested in Cherokee County, Georgia, on suspicion of driving under the influence along with multiple traffic-related charges, according to jail and law enforcement records released Monday.
Authorities confirmed that the 36-year-old television personality was taken into custody during the late evening hours of May 23, 2026, and booked into the Cherokee County Jail shortly afterward. Records reviewed by multiple media outlets showed that Chrisley was later released on bond during the early morning hours of May 24.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Lindsie Chrisley faces several charges connected to the traffic stop, including:
- DUI less safe,
- attempting to elude police,
- reckless driving,
- improper passing,
- and speeding.
Under Georgia law, a “DUI less safe” charge can be filed even when a driver’s blood alcohol concentration is below the standard legal limit if officers believe impairment affected driving ability.
Chrisley later addressed the incident in comments published by TMZ, claiming she had been attempting to avoid a roadway accident involving an animal when she was pulled over. She indicated plans to contest the charges.
The arrest comes during a turbulent period in Chrisley’s personal life. In April 2026, her former boyfriend, David Landsman, was arrested in Georgia on charges including felony aggravated assault/strangulation and misdemeanor battery following an alleged domestic dispute.
Lindsie Chrisley is the daughter of Todd Chrisley and appeared on Chrisley Knows Best before distancing herself from the family and leaving the show in 2017. She later became known through podcasting and social media content.
